About Marion Jones

Marion Jones is widely considered to be one of the greatest athletes of all time. She became the first woman to win five medals in a single Olympics when she won three gold and two bronze in the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney, Australia.

She attended the University of North Carolina, where she starred as a point guard on the basketball team and helped to lead the team to the NCAA Women’s Championship in 1994 in her freshman year. She also played for the WNBA’s Tulsa Shock for two seasons.

Her last decade has been spent in the pursuit of helping others see they can accomplish more than they think and win no matter what the circumstances.
